After a long speedrun stream, finding the good runs in the VOD takes work. Auto Stream Marker is a LiveSplit component that automatically marks every run in your stream or recording, so the highlights are easy to find later.
What it does
- marks the start and end of every run using Twitch stream markers
- optionally marks resets and individual splits
- optionally creates a chapter marker in OBS’s own recording through obs-websocket
- optionally logs the stream session to a per-date file (
H:MM:SS description) while OBS is streaming - if OBS rejects the chapter (only Hybrid MP4 and Hybrid MOV support them), the mark goes to its own log file
- every marker is tagged with the event that triggered it, such as
[STARTED],[SPLIT],[FINISHED]and[RESET] - a tunable offset corrects a fixed encoder delay when logged timestamps land a bit early or late
Version 1.2.0
Version 1.2.0, from August 2026, added OBS chapter support, the session log, event tags and the timestamp offset, and fixed an encoding bug in the Twitch connection.
