Here is an early look at the retro community’s most sought-after International Superstar Soccer romhack: Campeonato Brasileiro II.
How it started
Until now, this romhack created by the Peruvian group EagleSoft had never been dumped properly because of copy protection that prevented the ROM from being duplicated directly.
That wait is over. I am not a huge football fan, but in the 1996 Brazilian Championship, on December 15, Grêmio was crowned Serie A champion. So I chose that date to release the romhack, fully fixed and working 100%.

This would not have been possible without having the cartridge in hand. That is where CLE, @ALMCLE, comes in. He had two copies and had been trying to dump this romhack for a while. He was originally going to send it to someone overseas: Revenant, who runs TCRF.
Revenant is an excellent romhacker and inspired me to modify the firmware of the famous SuperUFO Pro 8 flashcart. CLE also tested the romhack heavily while I fixed bugs caused by removing the copy protection.
With all that combined, I was the closest person to receive the cartridge and use the right tools, while also analyzing the dumps to remove the protections.
